Ganderbal, Oct 28 (KNO): Continuing its special drive against absconders, Police in Ganderbal on Tuesday achieved a major success by apprehending an absconder who had been evading arrest for the past 19 years.
The arrested individual has been identified as Nazir Ahmad Gojar son of Mohd Yaqoob Gojar resident of Kehnusa Bandipora, wanted in FIR No. 33/2006 under section 420 RPC, a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
After strenuous efforts, police traced and arrested the said absconder, thereby ensuring that he faces the due course of law after almost two decades of evasion.
Meanwhile, the spokesman said that J&K Police reiterated its resolve to continue its relentless pursuit against all offenders and absconders in the interest of justice and public safety—(KNO)
